Teaching Experience


Research Methods

Research Methods course is designed to introduce students to the basics of social science research methods. The course covers the following topics: the logic of social science research, research design, measurement, sampling, and quantitative and qualitative data collection. It involved Empirical Data Collection Project, which students are required to collect data on any fields and topics following the research methods they learned in the class.



Contemporary Korean Society

Contemporary Korean Society is designed to present students how to understand other societies and compare them with their own society from critical perspective. The course covered politics, economy, culture, and society of South Korea. To provide personalized learning experience and encourage students’ engagement, all students are required to submit any questions about the lecture and Korean society each week and I answered them on the online classroom and in the next lecture.

Multivariate Regression Techniques for Social Scientists

This course is designed to provide students with an introduction to multiple regression and its applications in the social science. My role was to assist students in understanding the course materials and to run labs to apply their knowledge to real data using Stata and General Social Survey. The course covered the following topics: simple and multiple regression, dummy variables, interaction terms, and regression diagnostics.
